Tavares Strachan - Please Don't Come to Mars T-Shirt belles lettres Archival Pigment Print and silkscreenProduced by B. A. S. E. C 53% cotton, 30% Polyester, 17% lastomultiester Please Dont Come to Mars! is an appeal inspired by a musing of James Baldwins in his memoir, No Name in the Street: There is reason, after all, that some people wish to colonize the moon, and others dance before it as an ancient friend. Intergalactic colonial impulses are undergirded with questions about nationality, borders, and humans on Earth as galactic residents.
