when I used to cube Blood Artist, I usually viewed it as a dome-burn spell that wanted to deal 3+ damage to an opponent to be worth it, and being a 3/3 helps get there
Still, there are some general traits I look for in a Create Undead target: ETB and death/LTB abilities are the #1 priority
He is also much better to play with equipment than Crusade as he can himself be equipped and offers no negative synergy, not to mention his mana effect that is a powerful positive synergy
