Split seams: What causes them Split seams usually come from: Thin or weak side welds Aggressive shuffling (especially repeated mash shuffles) Overpacked deck boxes (pressure can stress the sleeve edges) If you've ever had a sleeve split during a game, you know why this matters: it can create a marked card problem, not just frustration
