Even though Sylveon's price continues to dip after release, it's likely this card, and others from Terastal Festival ex will rebound and perhaps surpass their previous highs as time goes on, especially as demand for this set's English twin, Prismatic Evolutions, continues to soar to unfathomable heights

Decks may contain a few cards from previous sets to make them well-rounded and playable
With banding, you can use this as a way to redirect damage away from a creature you really want to survive (and probably have trample), but it doesn't sound like there would be many places where you would want this
If Phyrexian Fleshgorger is no longer on the battlefield at the time the ward ability resolves, use the power it had the last time it was on the battlefield to determine how much life that player must pay (though if Phyrexian Fleshgorger was the only target, the spell has no legal targets anymore and hence it would not resolve even if they pay the life)
