Cards like Cloudform and Lightform are cool, but they dont immediately spark joy
The Commander Decks have revealed a ton of new cards in a similar vein that have great mechanical nods to their respective gamessome of my favorites include Zack Fair in FFVII s, which lets you essentially replicate Cloud swiping Zacks identity after his death, or Champions from Beyond in FFXIV s, a very nifty nod to the MMORPGs party finder mechanic (and one of the coolest moments in its expansion Shadowbringers )
One card which did not exist yet when I wrote the article was Ledger Shredder as I alluded to in the article, the synergies with Mishras Bauble will only continue to increase over time, and Ledger Shredder is a good example of this
And it's not even that hard to run through your deck with Innistrad's focus on milling cards off the top of your library
