banned mtg commander cards banlist updates and announcements - July 2026 Every Banned Card in MTG

Similarly, a permanent entering the battlefield at the same time as Elesh Norn (still including Elesh Norn) won't cause abilities of permanents an opponent controls to trigger

So powerful it's banned in Legacy and restricted in Vintage, but in Commander, it's a must-have card

Rise of the Eldrazi will hopefully drive down the prices of some of these expensive cards by reprinting them in a new preconstructed Commander deck

Because this icon represents the dedicated casual ecosystem, you can only acquire it through specific channels: The 4 Preconstructed Decks: These cards are found heavily throughout the ready-to-play decks ( Avengers Assemble , The Fantastic Four , Wakanda Forever , and Doom Prevails )

This project is set to conclude at the end of August, and well hopefully have more to communicate in Septembers Quarterly Update alongside Duskmourn
