orin mtg card Orim's Prayer Each player loses 2 life. MTGNexus - Orin, Occult Librarian

Mulldrifter is a time-honored choice that fits great here, keeping the cards flowing and the lands dropping

I love this card because it provides the ultimate abilities for a turtle game, where youre still consistently applying pressure and gaining an advantage over your opponents, but youre consistently gaining life and staying safe and cozy behind your wall of permanents

Meaning that when this creature attacks on its own, the next turn it has made up for the damage you lost in order to flip this card

It does what it needs to do very well, and being able to only leave one mana up and destroy any creature is something that most decks can do comfortably

Every Magic: The Gathering set that comes out has some cards that are just flat-out better than other cards
