Nut to nut length is 25" which is the standard length for most US market Commandos with a disc front brake. If you have an original hose on your bike it is well over 40 years old!! These can and do fail resulting in either a brake that doesn't work or a brake that locks on and will not release! Either way it's not a good situation, so replace it now.
