The earth is rotting under the weight of toxic sludge
secret crushes and vibrating with the confidence that makes you feel like you’re on fire
has been remastered from the original reels for this reissue
Their spirit animal could well be Arthur Russell in a cowboy hat
This short piece is built around a looping vocal sample and shuffling drum work that all come together perfectly
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92 CD xx2010s The earth is rotting underI know Aphex Twin wears many hats but the Chris Cunningham directed music videos that were the point of exposure for many really mischaracterized Richard's general mode of operation. What we have here on his debut long player is an interesting and listenable fusion of Acid House with simple Satie like melodies and spaciousness. Proper nods to Chicago, Detroit and 808 State.
