I had the DC map printed onto paper that was hand painted and folded into geometric patterns to create an interesting juxtaposition between organic & orderly

Inspired by a handful of my best girlfriends and our "ladies nights"

Precision-cut and hand-sewn after printing

This was a commission for a client who lives close to Barracks Row

Lively Stones No. 3 vertical I had the DC mapIn the summer of 2008, I came across an amazing big brass band in Adams Morgan called the Lively Stones. I originally created these pieces in 2008 + 2009 from pictures I had taken of them playing on the streets of the neighborhood.
