Description

The Tanganyika killifish (Lamprichthys tanganicanus) is a species of poeciliid endemic to Lake Tanganyika

It has a golden-bronze sheen due to longer gold bristles that cover the whole body

males live a shorter life at only 5 years in captivity opposed to females reportedly living up to 20 years

This allows for carbon dioxide to escape the pond and oxygen to enter the pond

ponds and slow moving streams
