Untouched 19th century Irish vernacular sugan chair. Original paint An intriguing wooden caseAn untouched 19th century Irish vernacular sugan (Irish for rope) chair. A very comfortable chair with a low seat, wide at the front, narrowing to the back typical ergonomics of a spinner's chair or hearth chair. Mostly made from ash with visible through wedges and pegged joints. Wonderful weathered original rustic colour and patina. Absolutely rock solid with no movement. Missing a front rail. Some old rubber added to the bottom surface of the back
