our jeweler removed the pin findings from the back of the 14k gold brooch and expertly welded on a vintage 9ct gold chain

The reverse of the pendant is marked "750" indicating 18k gold and it also bears an unknown maker's mark "MZ"

The mounting is marked 14k

This 14k gold snake pendant was originally an antique pin (circa 1900-1910) transformed with a 14k gold jump ring bail and rose cut diamond in a crimped silver collet
