Liatris scariosa var. nieuwlandii, Northern Blazing Star Size:1.16 qt Some reversion is expected thoughThistle like purple flowers in upright, loose bunches at the top of tall stems in late summer to early fall. The frilly flowers are large and captivating. I doubt that any of your neighbors will have this in their garden and, if they do, my hat off to them for their keen selection of plants! Tolerates a wide range of soils from dry to moist; taller in moist soils so might need staking. Full plant picture taken in mid September. Mature size: 3+ ft T x
