"wiat" (world) is a traditional folk Polish decoration made from wafer. They used to be made for Christmas and the New Year. Attached to the ceiling in a cottage, they would scare away bad demons and bring good luck as people believed. Also, they were a symbol of a world being reborn. These geometric wafer ornaments in bright colours are stunning.
