Carpinus betulus 'Monumentalis' (Topiary) Batch No:166297 semi-double flowers with proment brightThis interesting cultivar is a natural, slow growing dwarf form of hornbeam. The foliage is similar to the species but, due to the short internodes, grows in a much more dense fashion making it perfect for topiary. Prune at least once a year to maintain a crisp shape. Good yellow autumn colour. Does well on all well draining soils. H7
