Hamamelis × intermedia 'Jelena' Flowering-Tree As this is a female

As this is a female plant

most noted for its reddish-purple foliage

It is superb when planted as a solitary specimen in parks and large gardens

These often remain through winter

chinensis bearing a glorious mass of elegant creamy-white flower bracts in June

Hamamelis × intermedia 'Jelena' Flowering-Tree As this is a femaleA superb clone of vigorous, spreading habit with large, broad and softly hairy leaves turning orange, red and scarlet in autumn. But it is in early spring that the witch hazel takes centre stage. On bare branches, beautifully copper coloured and heavenly scented flowers unfold setting the winter garden ablaze. H5
