Malus d. 'Granny Smith' Batch No:177401 Likes full sunA reliable and heavy cropper, producing a green apple with a brown flush. Sometimes a dessert apple, but more often used in cooking when grown in the UK garden, as this variety needs a long hot summer to produce dessert quality fruit. Considered by some to be partially self fertile, it is more likely the tree is pollinated easily from trees growing at great distance, which means it is usually unnecessary to supply a partner to get good fruit set.
